Obituary of Thomas J. Halligan

Thomas J. Halligan Sr. passed away on December 8th, at home. He was 86. The son of the late James and Mary, he was born July 31, 1930 in Chicago Il. Thomas valiantly protected the United States interest in the Korean Conflict, earning a purple heart. Upon returning from the service he continued his life of service retiring as a Sargent with the NYPD NYC Housing Department. Not being one to embrace retirement Thomas began a new career with the US Postal Service. Beloved husband of the late Catherine. Thomas was the beloved father of Theresa (Tony) Tesoriero, Mary Kay (Dan) Kelleher, Erin (Gerry) Farrow, Sean (Kathy) Halligan, Kathleen (Tim) Adrat, James Halligan, Noreen (Joe) Coll, the late Thomas (Irene) Halligan Jr, and the late Kevin Halligan. Thomas was the dear brother of the late James Halligan. Cherished grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 10. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 9:30 AM. The Committal Service will take place on Thursday December 15, 2016 at Calvary Cemetery in Concord, New Hampshire. Please check our website in the near future for updated information.
