Obituary of Richard V. Bjork

Richard Bjork passed suddenly on April 27, 2016 at home, he was 65. The son of the late Edwin and Dolores (nee Troiano) Richard was born May 22, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY. Richard was a retired long time electrician for the NYC Dept of Sanitation. Those that knew Richard best would tell you he could be found rooting on his beloved NY Mets or meeting up with his friends at the Cadillac Club to share and talk about this treasured American Classic. Richard had a deep spiritual faith that centered around his Catholic up bringing and was deeply devoted to the the Holy RC Church. Those at Good Shepherd mentioned he would always smile and ask how they were doing before they could even say hello. He served the parish as a faithful Eucharistic Minister every week at Good Shepherd. Richard may leave behind a small family, his friends, parish and former co workers surely join them in their grief. Visitation is on Monday from 2:00 - 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, meeting at the funeral home at 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will be held at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Richards name to a charity of ones choice. Please see the service tab for map and directions.
