Mildred Volpe, age 96, of Brooklyn passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Mrs. Volpe was born February 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Anna (Delisio) Pafundi. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Volpe on December 25, 1984.A woman of true faith and dedicated affiliate of our community, involved in organizations such as the Columbiettes though the Holy Name Society, Rosary Society and devoted member of the Sacristan Society of Mary Queen of Heaven Roman Catholic Church. Mildred enjoyed spending her free time bowling and quilting, as she was a member the Brooklyn Quilting Guild. Mildred's most important role in her life was her family, her family meant the world to her. Loving mother of Ann Carricato (James), Dolores Wanagaitis (the late Robert), Anthony Volpe, Edward Volpe (Susan) and Daniel Volpe (Vickie). Cherished grandmother of Michael, Susan, Mechele, Eve, Dineen, Levon, Joseph, Jenna, Katie, T.J., and the late Daniel Jr. Dear great grandmother of 9. Beloved sister of the late Teddy Pafundi and the late Louise Barbeieri.
